The on-line magazine for emergency preparedness and self reliant living

Go direct to Safe Survival magazine

Welcome message from Editor

Welcome to the on-line edition of the magazine Safe Outdoors Survival (SOS).

Perhaps even more so now, we need to bring our survival instincts and experience to the fore and gather together to share information so that we go through the coming period with preparedness in mind.

Although the website and magazine is titled Safe Outdoors Survival, this covers a diverse range of issues and subjects, from physical tips for wilderness survival to building techniques for timber dwellings and the self reliant homestead. The objective being the same, to live and survive in safety and reasonable comfort in a manner that is as near self reliancy and sufficiency as possible.
Bearing this in mind, we will also be covering issues on the environment, wildlife and outdoor management in order that one can live at one with nature as harmoniously as possible.

Intitially, this on line and updated magazine will be available via the website, and, at some point it is proposed to send out the magazine in a newsletter style on a nominal (covering costs etc) subscription, either in word or PDF format. However, the majority of the articles will still be available on the website and the updates and links will continue also. Hopefully, if there is demand the magazine will eventually be available as a hard copy via annual subscription.

Please scan the website and its links to familiarise yourself with the contents and objectives, and please feel free to e-mail with comments, ideas or articles for inclusion in the magazine.

I hope you will enjoy and make use of the contents and please make our site one of your regular visits.

Best wishes
Howard Middleton-Jones
